Yet another Zelda game given to us by Nintendo. This game was much anticipated as it is the sequel to the hit Ocarina of Time. Does it live up to its predecessor? Read on.

You play as Link, who else, who shortly after he traveled through time to save Hyrule from Ganon. At the end of his journey his fairy friend, Navi, left him. Link missing her takes a much younger Epona and goes looking for her. While in some woods two fairies appear, scaring Epona who bucks Link off and he goes unconscious. While he is unconscious a skullkid wearing a mask appears and steals the Ocarina of Time from Link. Link comes to and stares down the skullkid who jumps on Epona and takes off. Link barely managed to grab a hold onto Epona’s side but soon loses his grip and falls off. He chases the skullkid through a strange portal at the end of which he falls and falls and falls and finally lands on a big flower. He gets up and there is the strange skullkid floating in the air. Oracle of Ages, along with its sister Oracle of Seasons, are the long awaited sequels of Link’s Awakening. However they are not direct sequels and some even consider them prequels. Do they live up to their predecessor? Did Capcom make good Zelda games? Read on.

You play as Link again who has become curious about the powers of the mystical Triforce. He goes to Hyrule Castle to study it and as he approaches they begin to spin and send him to the land of Labrynna that needs saving from an evil force. Soon after you get there you meet up with a young girl named Nayru. You become friends and after that the evil scorceress Veran (whoa Mama!) comes and kidnaps Nayru. Come to find out Nayru is the Oracle of Ages and things begin changing mysteriously. It is up to Link to save Labrynna and Nayru before Veran changes history and becomes a supreme ruler. (more…)

Yes the legend of Zelda shall live on. While we hardcore Zelda fans await the long-craved Legend of Zelda for Gamecube, Nintendo releases its duo combo, Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons. These are the types of games that cause you to have a smile when turning on the Gameboy and a frown when you have to stop playing due to battery shortage.

As always Miyamoto seems to be capable of inventing a fitting story for the adventures of our hero, Link. To the disappointment of some while delight of others, the hero of this story is still child Link. The young, Hyrulian hero fits into Gameboy and the story much better as the short sword wielding, deku shield blocking courageous boy. In Oracle of Ages, the story starts when link meets a traveler searching for her friend. Link kindly helps her and  in the forest meets the Oracle of Ages, and her trusted friend Ralph. As worse as the situation can be our traveler friend turns out to have been taken over by a demon, and Link has just allowed him inside. Through the turn of events the Oracle of Ages has been kidnapped and it’s up to Link to stop the lunatic from taking over the past and the present. With an uneasy feeling in his stomach Link embarks upon another adventure.
